Great Belt Stitching Machine

Skyline Leather Co.| 1/4/2019 10:44 pm

I've owned the Class 20 for almost two years and it's awesome. I use it for projects such as wallets, bags, belts, and radio straps. What's nice about a flatbed machine, is when I'm sewing long items like a belt, the table helps support the project. I don't have to balance the piece like I would with a cylinder bed machine. The machine is easy to control and it's also easy to make adjustments on when changing thread and needle size. Another great feature on this machine is the top loading bobbin. It allows the operator to check and see how much thread is left in the bobbin at a glance. I will say that if you are going to make gun holsters, knife sheaths, or anything else that will get over 1/4-5/16" in thickness, you will run into issues with the presser foot not being able to raise up high enough to clear your project. If you are making belts, even heavy duty gun belts, this machine is perfect.

Machine worth it.

I discussed this machine with the staff pro to buying so I would get the machine I needed for the wide range of items I sew. The versatility is worth the money with the wide range of needles & thread. I'v sewn 3/4 oz to 8/9 oz with no issues. Any question i'v had have been answered same day by SLC.
