These gorgeous Old English Upholstery sides have been treated with fats and oils to achieve their smooth and semi-water resistant finish. With a nice mellow sheen and slightly firm hand. This is a chrome tanned leather, and could almost be listed as an oil tan, but it doesn't have that pullup quality. Fantastic for cases, duffels, backpacks, bags, wallets, and lightweight saddle bags!

"Bought this to make my wife a tote and purses and it's great for that purpose, very scratch resistant. Of all the pieces I've bought from SLC it has the most plastic-type hard/smooth finish I've encountered (i. e. seems the least like leather). Did not bevel well, took tokonole pretty well for pasting the back, pretty firm hand."
