NEW NAME AND IMPROVED CONTENT! This box of exotic treasure includes 6lbs (maybe a little more) of decent sized pieces of genuine hair-on cowhide, pirarucu (fish) – some of these pieces are quite nice, and some really good ostrich pieces – THAT’S where the money’s at!

Plus - Bonus Leather! You’ll get at least one or two veg-tanned lambskins in every box!

As for the “ETC.”, well, that’s what the New and Improved is all about, and could possibly include lizard, snake, caiman, hippo, giraffe, and elephant!

Now, it should be said that there will be smaller, scrappier pieces, strips, etc. that can be used for trims, inlays, watchbands, and the like. The hair-on cow is good, and you could possibly get a wallet back or two out of it. It would make awesome minimalist and card wallets, and it would make fabulous inlays, trims, or accents! For the most part, the fish will have large, dimensional scales, but some could be smaller and/or smoother. You’re probably not going to cut full-sized wallet backs out of it, but they’d work great for making unique minimalist wallets, card holders, and even holster and sheath inlays and overlays! A good number of the larger pieces of ostrich (with and without quill) are really VERY good and will most definitely justify this purchase! As for the veg. lamb, you’ll just have to figure that out for yourself. We made journal covers and adventure bags out of it that turned out super-cool!

This is basically a box of exotic remnants and pieces that we feel is worth the money. The end result for you should be the ability to offer some very high-quality exotic leather products, such as wallets and other personal leather goods and accessories, to your customers. "This is a mostly good package, with some small scrap but mostly useable leather. The ostrich had very small quills, but we’re mostly about 3-4 square foot pieces , overall it was great!"

"SLC technically describes it accurately. I’d be happier if it resembled the picture but most was strips and large amount of this is unusable. The big ostrich piece has a VERY strong odor- and not the high end leather smell some people complain about. Hopefully it’ll mellow after airing out for a few weeks. The picarucu looks like some took a cheese grater to it. I would return if I wasn’t confident I could break even on some minimalist wallets (out of the ostrich- combined with mostly cow). The bird is the only good part of this order. 100% would not order again. Not very happy with it."

Not the best- some useable

"Most of what I got doesn’t seem very useable, a lot of pieces are so narrow or small that it makes them mostly useless. Additionally the picarucu pieces have a tattered finish to it. Two pieces have a decent enough look to maybe be used as accent piece on a bag. I’m not sure the rest is useable. The ostrich had some useable pieces and is the only redeemable part of this order. One is big enough for a small bag (but sting odor- beyond just leather), a few pieces are big enough for wallets or card slots. The rest is narrow trimmings that will either inlay or keychains. Not the most pleased with this order would definitely not order again, I get that it’s exotic but it still has to be useable."
