Very spotty or blotchy

"Very spotty or blotchy"

Great price for a try

"It's more firm thatn expected and the thickness goes up to 7mm. The rick grease and wax content makes it rsistent to water. May have loose/soft parts in the middle. May be hard for your strap cutter."

Fun to experiment with

"I bought this belly before the recent price change out of curiousity and am glad I did. The piece I received was slightly darker in person than the pictures looked on my screen. The listing stated it was 14+oz thickness, so I asked for it to be split to 12oz thickness, which meant that most of it came fairly flat. When cut, I can see three layers of densities on most of my pieces: a thin layer closest to the grain side is actually quite soft and pliable from the side, about a third of the thickness is densest near the middle, and the rest is looser and fuzzier the closer it is to the flesh side. The material is much easier to cut than most of the leathers I've tried and my skiving knives and awls just glide through. I am currently making flip flops out of it. When folding toe posts, I found that it stretched and molded to a comfortable shape with just a little encouragement. This is the first leather I've tried that I'd call buttery. Lost one star because it almost doubled in price since I bought it, so I'm hesitant to buy again."

State fair items

"These items are going to be used at the State Fair. The leather will be used to punch out little state of Indiana and the lace will used to make it into a necklace. THANKS."
