S.B. Foot Pampas is a clean, smooth chrome-tanned cowhide with a medium temper and a refined matte surface. The grain is tight and consistent, giving the leather a more finished appearance without adding the waxy or oily feel found on many of S.B. Foot’s pull-up leathers.

The surface feels smooth and dry to the touch, with very little shine and no heavy oil or wax character. That straightforward finish makes Pampas especially useful when you want the leather itself to stay clean and understated rather than developing a dramatic pull-up or distressed appearance.

At 4–5 oz., Pampas has enough body for wallets, bags, cases, backpacks, notebook covers, footwear, panels, and other leather goods while remaining easy to cut, fold, and sew. The clean flesh side is another nice feature, with very little loose fiber or fuzz, making it useful on projects where the back of the leather may remain visible.

Pampas is part of S.B. Foot’s Classic Collection, a group of leathers produced as part of the tannery’s regular production line. S.B. Foot has been tanning leather in Red Wing, Minnesota since 1872 and has a long history of producing leather for durable footwear and leather goods.
