Glass Slicker

This is a specially beveled glass that many seasoned leathercrafters find extremely useful for preparing their leather for carving. After casing your leather as usual, just drag the glass slicker across the grain side of the leather. This helps to compress the grain, providing a tighter surface for smoother, more efficient cutting and for a more uniform coverage of dyes and finishes.
