There’s nothing like genuine full-quill ostrich to make a statement of quality. The distinctive quill pattern comes from the feather follicles across the crown of the hide, creating the raised texture and natural variation that make each skin immediately recognizable.

Ostrich leather has a soft, flexible feel backed by a tough fiber structure. The thickness can vary across the hide, with the crown providing the strongest quill character and the surrounding areas offering smoother grain and lighter weight. This variation gives leatherworkers several useful textures within a single skin.

Use full-quill ostrich for boots, belts, wallets, handbags, upholstery accents, inlays, and other leather goods where its unmistakable texture can become part of the design. It works especially well for statement panels, overlays, and matching accessory sets.

Please Note: Half hides are cut lengthwise along the spine. Ostrich hides are subject to availability. When the selected variation is not in stock, it may need to be special ordered; please allow up to two weeks for delivery. Natural differences in quill pattern, texture, thickness, and surface character will occur from hide to hide.
