Measures out at 1 5/8 😢
"There were nicks in the cutting edge which indicate that the punch had been dropped so it took a little longer to sharpen. The actual punch out measures 1 5/8 by pretty darn close to 3/8. It will work for some of my holsters but disappointed overall. Let me know when y’all offer a 1 7/8 or 2” and I will order to accommodate my 1 3/4 needs"

Stated size not correct.
"Punches well (after sharpening) but does not measure 1 3/4" long punches a hole approximately 1 5/8" instead of 1 3/4" This easily overcome but annoying. I understand a 1 3/4" belt is actually sized closer to 1/58" however the oblong should measure the correct length. My C.S. Osborne 1/34" oblong punches a 1 3/4" hole but the Craftmaster doesn't. Someone please build a wide oblong that punches a hole the correct size."

Disappointed
"So I made the mistake of not doing my research. This punch is useless until YOU get it sharpened. Other stated this in their reviews!"

Dull and useless
"I should have paid more attention to the review. This thing is more like a heavy stamp. It won't punch through anything. It is extremely dull. It is useless as is and I have no idea how to sharpen it. It's ridiculous that something that costs this much is useless for its intended purpose. It literally will not cut through leather. Just makes an oblong shape no deeper than a stamp."

Not Sharp out of the Box!!
"I love the overall size of the punch, but it came in really dull and more like a stamping tool. The edge had to be tapered and sharpened before I would call it a punch. After the work was done the punch itself will make a great belt/strap loop with good edge retention."
