Chinese steel
"As the headline reads. Ivan brand knife that is made in China. I am posting this review just for informational purposes. The blade is beveled on both sides, for my needs I was looking for a chisel tip. After reprofiling the edge I was able to use the skiving knife as I intended. Initial cuts have been clean and accurate and that is why I am giving it 4 stars. Took away the star because the description did not have the information I mentioned. Edge is losing some sharpness after initial cuts and I have to strop to maintain the clean cuts."
