Sof-Tan Veg Side, 5-6 oz. Sides average 18-28 sq ft.
Nice clean cow sides, 100% veg tanned and then milled (tumbled) for a softer hand with a light pebble appearance. Drapes beautifully. Stamps and dyes well. Great for trim, softer bags and accessories.
This leather is sold by the square foot. Whatever quantity is chosen at checkout will be the square footage received. Example - order quantity 5, receive a hand-cut 5 square foot piece. We WILL cut this leather, so order as little, or as much as you would like.
To order a whole side please choose a quantity between 18-28.

"The 5-6 oz milled veg is the only leather I use for concealed carry holsters. It carves and tools beautifully, take dyes and stains well, and it very pliable. I also use this for wallet backs/small journal covers/passport holders/other smaller goods. It can be used for larger projects, but you'll have to use a lot of dye. Keep that in mind. When finished, it has a nice pebble grain that I don't get from traditional veg."

"I wanted a leather that was more pliable that tooling leather, but not dyed a color not of my choosing. My design is a mini backpack with a very sharp angled modern design but I also wanted to have a soft feel and it needed to translate visually, this is leather done differently. I am so pleased I ordered this milled veg tanned hide. The bag came out gorgeous. It took the dye beautifullly, with some additional tooling leather glued in key points inside the bag gave it the support it needs and feels so soft to the touch. The hide itself has few blemishes to work around, is clean and just a delight to work with. Client loved the bag and am getting orders for more. Can't go wrong."
