These shoulders are a tannery-run mix rather than being separated into individual grades. Most will fall around B-grade quality, so expect a little more natural character than you would find in a cleaner premium selection. Scratches, bug bites, brands, range marks, and other naturally occurring characteristics may be present, but there is still plenty of good working leather in each piece.

At full weight these will be 8–11 oz. with a firm temper, these double shoulders are ideal for belts, holsters, straps, sheaths, cases, tack, tooling projects, and other structured leather goods where strength and stability are important. The natural grain surface also provides an excellent foundation for carving, stamping, dyeing, and finishing.
