These stamps are made for use on properly cased vegetable-tanned leather. Position the stamp where you want the letter, hold it straight, and strike the included handle firmly with a suitable mallet or maul. For names and longer words, lightly mark a guide line first to help keep the letters straight and evenly spaced.

"I am both happy and disappointed, the stamps themselves look good. However, the 3/8 size has no markings as to which way is right side up or down, which makes it difficult sometimes to get them correctly positioned. The half inch size some are marked some or not. Otherwise, the stamps look good on the weather."
"I received the package which took almost 2 weeks and it was missing the letter M stamp. Of course that was the letter I needed . I called up to have it replaced and it is my understanding that a new one is being shipped. So now i'm in another week waiting. I'm not sure why shipping takes so long. When I order from Weaver I usualy get my ordered suppleis whitin 5 days."
