Extreme is a name that speaks for itself. Made from premium European cowhide and finished in Italy, this leather receives a rich oil and wax treatment that creates dramatic tonal movement when the surface is bent, stretched, or handled.

The oils and waxes move within the leather as you work it, causing lighter tones to burst through wherever the leather flexes. This pull-up effect gives Extreme plenty of depth right from the start, and the surface will continue to change as the finished piece is handled and used. Scratches, creases, and handling marks become part of the character rather than something the leather is trying to hide.

Each hide is vacuum-dried to create an exceptionally smooth surface while maintaining the natural character of the aniline finish. At 3–4 oz., Extreme is substantial enough for bags, satchels, totes, backpacks, portfolios, notebook covers, cases, and other leather goods where the finish itself can become a major part of the design.

This is the kind of leather that will not look exactly the same six months from now as it does when you first cut it—and that is the point. The combination of oils, waxes, handling, and everyday use allows the surface to develop a rich patina and increasingly individual appearance over time.

Please Note: Extreme will change color when handled, folded, stretched, or scratched. Significant tonal variation should be expected within individual hides and between dye lots. These variations are part of the intended character of this leather.
