This Hermann Oak Strap Leather takes the working characteristics leathercrafters already know and adds something completely different—a custom colors made specifically for the project that screams for originality.

Vegetable tanned in St. Louis, Missouri, Hermann Oak Strap Leather has the firm temper and dense fiber structure that make it such a dependable choice for belts, holsters, knife sheaths, straps, cases, cuffs, collars, western accessories, tack accents, and other projects that need leather with plenty of body.

The leather cuts cleanly, stamps well, wet molds, and burnishes beautifully, giving you the same versatility you expect from traditional Hermann Oak tooling and strap leather without having to dye the entire project yourself. The custom drum-dyed finish gives the surface a bold turquoise appearance while still allowing you to add tooling, stamping, edge work, hardware, and other details at the bench.

Hermann Oak has been vegetable tanning leather since 1881, using traditional methods that have made their leather a longtime favorite among saddle makers, belt makers, holster makers, and leathercrafters.

Please Note: This is full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, so natural range marks, healed scratches, grain variation, and other characteristics may be present. Because this is a custom-dyed leather, slight tonal variation between hides and dye lots should be expected.
