This premium cowhide features a deep Pirarucu embossing inspired by the large, distinctive scales of the Amazonian Arapaima. The pronounced pattern gives the leather the exotic look of Pirarucu while keeping the consistency, size, and workability of cowhide.

The leather is chrome tanned with an aniline drum-dyed crust, then washed and finished by hand with aniline dyes. That process gives the surface depth and variation rather than a flat, uniform appearance. The soft, pliable temper makes it easy to fold, stitch, and shape while still providing enough body for finished leather goods.

Use it for western wallets, cardholders, notebook covers, hat patches, handbags, footwear accents, belts, small leather goods, decorative upholstery, and other projects where the bold scale pattern can become part of the design.

Please Note: Because of the washing process and hand-applied aniline finish, color and shading will naturally vary from piece to piece. This variation is intentional and means no two panels or sides will look exactly alike.
