S.B. Foot Mississippi is an American-made leather with a buffed grain and a rich, oil-tanned feel. The surface has a soft, slightly broken-in character rather than a slick, heavily finished appearance, giving the leather plenty of depth without hiding the natural grain.

At 4–5 oz. with a medium temper, Mississippi has enough body for bags, footwear, and utility goods while still remaining flexible and easy to work. The buffed grain gives the surface a softer touch, and the oil content helps the leather develop more character as it is handled, bent, and used.

This leather works especially well for backpacks, satchels, duffels, footwear, chaps, utility bags, cases, and other everyday leather goods where a softer surface and dependable body are useful.

S.B. Foot has been tanning leather in Red Wing, Minnesota since 1872, producing American-made leather for footwear and leather goods. Mississippi fits well within that tradition with its practical temper, buffed surface, and workwear character.
