These are without a doubt the most beautiful selection of bridle leathers that I have ever seen in my whole entire life!!!! (and I’m sort of old). Available in Black, Coffee, Chestnut, Russet and Walnut. Now, the black is great, and so is the coffee, but the chestnut and russet are almost too glorious for words!!! And to make things even better, they are struck thru, straight veg tanned double shoulders, which means they’d be great for belts, holsters, sheaths and tack.
 
This is a crazy good introductory price! Other companies sell leathers that are similar for up to 10 bucks a foot! They are 9-10 oz, maybe a little heavier occasionally. And on top of that, they’re clean, and avg around 14-15 sqft, so length is great! I’ve seen a few in the 12-13 ft range, and a few in the 17 to 19 ft range but not many. This is the sort of leather that is very challenging for some of us here at SLC because it’s so nice that you just want to have some even if you don’t have a use for it! ? 118-002 is russet, 118-003 is black, 118-004 is chestnut, 118-005 is coffee and 118-006 is walnut.

Absolutely beautiful leather!

"Can't emphasize enough how much I like this stuff! I've bought it in all the colors and would rank them Walnut, Russet, Black, Coffee and Chestnut in that order (but that's just personal preference, and honestly I'll keep buying all the colors except maybe Chestnut). Most of what I've bought has been extremely blemish free, and while one piece came naturally as thin as 6-7 oz, all the rest have been solidly 8-10 oz (and honestly I kind of appreciated getting something a bit thinner without having to have it split). All of it's been consistently fully struck through too. I've used it at full weight for axe sheaths, belts, and coasters, and used it at varying split weights for sunglasses cases, card holders, knife sheaths, and bookmarks. I look forward to finding many more excellent applications for it!"

Holsters

"I ordered two pieces of leather, they were both supple enough if I wanted to use them for boots, however, when I cemented a goat skin liner to them, they were stiff enough for revolver holsters. Then, when I soaked the holsters to form to the revolvers, absolutely no dye bled into the water."
