Icky Blue Suede Double Butts! We bought an absurd amount of very nice leather from a vendor about a year ago, and part of the deal was that we had to take this stupid leather along with the good stuff, in order to get the deal…So with great enthusiasm, we agreed. Sort of. Kinda. Pretty much, mostly. Anyway, we got it. The quality is great! The color is great….except that it comes off on anything it gets within 40 feet of!!! Now, to be fair, I’m sure that the bleed off issue could be resolved. Perhaps with a rubdown and some Scotchgard. But I’ve not tried it, and I’m not going to. It’s 3-4 oz, sort of a dark royal blue. It’s double butts, up to about 16 ft. order whatever you want. we’ll cut.

FYI: The term “Crocking”, by definition, means the transferring of color or finish from leather to other materials by rubbing or abrasion. As a matter of fact, Indigo and Black are the most common colors that cause Crocking. Wet Crocking is when dyes bleed when exposed to moisture, and Dry Crocking is when the dyes rub off due to abrasion, rubbing or, in this case, touching!
