Fiebing’s Pro Resist is a water-soluble finish made to create stronger contrast when antiquing or staining smooth and carved leather. Once dry, it forms a resist that helps control where color settles, allowing carved lines, stamped impressions, and recessed areas to stand out more clearly.

Apply Pro Resist to clean, dry leather before using an antique or stain. It can be applied over the entire surface for a more uniform resist or placed selectively with a fine brush when certain areas need to remain lighter. Allow it to dry completely before applying the next finishing product.

Pro Resist also works as a clear top finish. Once dry, it helps protect the leather from moisture and dirt while preserving the color, tooling, and natural character beneath the surface.

Use it on carved belts, wallets, notebook covers, holsters, sheaths, saddlery, and other smooth or tooled leather projects where controlled antiquing, added contrast, or a protective finish is needed.

Please Note: Always test the complete finishing process on a scrap piece before applying it to the finished project. The amount applied and the drying time can affect how strongly the leather resists antique or stain.
