"If you’re trying to get that clean, structured look in your bags, Bontex is it. I’ve used a few different stiffeners, and this one actually does what it’s supposed to without feeling bulky or cheap. It’s sturdy but still workable, which makes cutting and shaping way easier than I expected. Once it’s in the bag, it holds its form beautifully—no sagging, no weird bends, just a nice crisp structure that makes everything look more high-end. I also love that it doesn’t add a ton of weight. That was a big deal for me, especially on larger bags. Overall, if you want your bags to look more polished and professional, this is 100% worth using. It’s one of those materials you don’t realize you needed until you try it—and then you won’t go back."

I didn't know it was like this

"It seems like it's just cardboard without a gloss surface. It's not going to return to shape if it's folded or creased. I don't think it's ideal for stiffening leather projects that need to have the ability to move around."

Fantastic bag stiffener

"I am new to leather working and don't know much about stiffening keather so I have tried every "budget" version of bag stiffener I could find that the Internet recommended: cheap suede remnants, cheap veg tan remnants, the veg tan split bundle, layering interfacing fabric, and even slide transparencies! All of them sucked in different ways, so I finally tried Bontex and it is well worth the money. Consistent thickness, very high stiffness for such a thin material, and super easy to glue! If you need to stiffen something and don't want a self adhesive stiffener then this is well worth the money. The . 02" seems to be the perfect ratio of thickness to strength."
