This bend is the premium part of the hide (where we've cut off the belly and shoulder, leaving you with the most uniform section of leather), excellent for belts and straps! Most will cut between 16 to 18 1.5" strips averaging 52" to 60" long. If you want to have the best, quite simply, this is it. Bends will never have a hole, however a scar or two, a few range marks or some scud might be visible. We try to limit blemishes to the outer edges or a scar that could run horizontally that will not affect more than one strap width. Every side of leather is unique, as it is a natural product and each bend will showcase the beautiful variation of Hermann Oak veg tan leather. Whether you are making belts or carving pictures this leather will make you look good!

"Hermann Oak has been my go-to leather for over 50 years; it is still the best I can find. My customers expect quality, and that's what they get with this great leather from Springfield Leather Company. Thanks for supporting leather workers with quality materials and tools! Chief's Leather Works."
"Complete trash… more craters than the moon it looked like the heifer was beat with a bag of dimes."
"I make custom tooled belts and purchasing these Bends has been my go to route for belt leather for a few years now. The yield is great and I rarely ever have issues with quality or service. If I do, a quick and easy phone call always gets everything settled."
"Thank you very much for the beautiful piece of leather. It is absolutely perfect. Good job to the one who picked it out."
"As described and beautiful leather as always. Thanks again."
"This belt bend cut incredibly easy…almost too easy. Had a few wiggles in some of the belts I cut, but they’ll trim out in my later processes. Second time I’ve ordered this natural Hermann Oak belt bend, and I plan on ordering again!"
"My only issue is actually pretty small. One of The 2-3 oz bends was stored on its cut end. So it curled up about an inch and a half. Small inconvenience but noticeable. I’d say 4. 5 stars."
"This is definitely my "go-to" leather for the making of equipment for emergency services. It comes with a straight line down one side so there isnt a need to waste any leather when doing straps or making belts. Its not too bad on taking dye, and it will hold a stamp or tooling very nicely. Strong leather too."
"This is the absolute best piece of leather for making belts. I am able to pull sixteen 1 1/2 inch wide belt blanks from each double bend perfect for tooling. I produce unlined and lined belts out of this material. I have purchased many bends and never had any spongy spots or blemishes. Extremely high quality leather."
