These chrome-tanned cowhides have a soft, supple hand and are typically around 2½ oz., making them easy to cut, sew, and shape. Depending on the hide, you'll receive either a smooth finish or a lightly grained texture, but every side offers the same exceptional value and clean appearance.
The lighter sand tones make these hides especially well suited for projects where a natural, neutral look is desired. They're an excellent choice for upholstery repairs, handbags, pouches, notebook covers, soft accessories, garment accents, and even clean, professional-looking belt linings.
Please Note: These sides are sold by the square foot and Springfield Leather will cut the amount you need whenever possible. "The hide I got seems to have that sorry of synthetic PU coating on it or something. Always disappointed to see that. With that being said, the color and texture is consistent all throughout, and I'll surely find some use for this. At $1. 40/foot, it's hard to be too upset. If nothing else, this will be incredible stuff for prototyping with."
