Who Is This Kit For? Doesn't fit hobby or pro.

"I struggled to understand the target audience for this kit. It requires a leather sewing machine, which suggests an experienced maker, yet the leather itself did not live up to the description for SKU: 673-501. Didn't seem to justify the premium price of a pre-cut kit. Had the pieces been pre-punched for hand stitching, it would have made more sense as a beginner-friendly project. The leather itself is stiff like poster paper, I see no pull-up, and it feels plasticky like the leather on the chairs in a waiting room. Durable, but not luxurious. The flesh side on the skived edges has a sheen to it like glue or sealant. I've been tougher on SLC in the past for some of their bargains, but in this case, you could absolutely get a bag with better quality leather, already made for the same price."
