Fiebing’s Leather Balm with Atom Wax is a liquid wax finish made for smooth leather. It helps color, soften, and polish the surface while bringing out a rich, soft luster.
Apply it in a thin, even coat with a soft cloth or applicator, then allow it to dry before buffing. As it is worked and polished, the finish develops a smooth, velvety appearance without creating the harder surface associated with some acrylic topcoats.
Leather Balm with Atom Wax works well on shoes, boots, belts, bags, wallets, saddlery, and other smooth leather goods that need light conditioning, color enhancement, and a polished finish.
Please Note: Leather Balm with Atom Wax is not a water-resistant top finish. For projects that need stronger protection from moisture, apply a compatible protective finish after the balm has dried completely.

"This is a staple in the workshop. To me it leaves a finish somewhere between a paste finish (like "Aussie" or "Sno-Proof") and acrylic finishes (like "Resolene" or "Pro-Clear"). It buffs to a nice "natural" shine that isn't "plastic" feeling at all. It is a liquid, so to prevent color bleeding I tend to use it more with solvent based dyes than with water based dyes."
