This heavyweight oil-tanned side has a medium-firm temper, matte surface, and subtle pull-up that gives the leather a rugged, broken-in character without looking heavily distressed. With very little stretch and plenty of body, it is made for projects that need substantial leather and dependable structure.

At 9–10 oz., this is serious leather. It has the thickness and firmness needed for heavy belts, work belts, straps, rifle slings, saddle and tack components, motorcycle accessories, tool carriers, heavy-duty collars, and other hard-working leather goods. The oil tannage keeps the leather from feeling dry or boardy while still allowing it to maintain its shape.

The dark mahogany tone gains additional depth wherever the leather bends and flexes, creating a restrained pull-up against the matte surface. Scuffs and handling will gradually become part of the leather’s character, making it especially well suited for projects where a clean but rustic appearance is the goal.

If you need a heavyweight leather with plenty of structure, minimal stretch, and the character of an oil-tanned pull-up, this one is ready for some hard work.
