Trim it, fringe it, or make the whole darn thing with it! Metallic Cow Sides are vibrant, medium-weight cowhide with a reflective metallic finish and a slight pebble grain that gives the surface a little texture without taking away from the shine.

At 3–4 oz., this leather is especially well suited for show chaps, rodeo gear, handbags, clutches, wallets, boot accents, costume pieces, garment accents, fringe, trim, and decorative panels. Use a little of it to make a project pop, or lean into the metallic finish and make it the star of the whole piece.

The combination of cowhide strength and a manageable 3–4 oz. weight makes these sides useful anywhere you want leather that can flex and move without feeling overly heavy. The slight pebble grain also helps give the metallic surface some depth, so the leather catches the light differently as it moves.

This is finished leather, so think cutting, sewing, lacing, fringe, layering, and assembly rather than traditional tooling or dyeing. It works particularly well alongside tooling leather, hair-on cowhide, suede, or other contrasting leathers when you want to add a bright accent to Western, fashion, or performance pieces.

Please Note: Metallic finishes can show scuffs, creases, and surface wear differently than traditional leather finishes. Natural variations in grain, markings, texture, and shape should also be expected from side to side.
