Rhino Hand Sewing Thread is made for leathercrafters who like the look of a clean, traditional hand stitch but still want plenty of color to work with. The polyester filaments are tightly braided into a fine, flat cord and lightly waxed to make the thread easier to handle while stitching.
The flat braided construction gives your stitches a neat, defined appearance and works well for saddle stitching wallets, bags, notebook covers, belts, cases, sheaths, small leather goods, and other projects where the stitching is meant to be seen.
Choose from 0.8 mm and 1 mm thread depending on the look you want. The 0.8 mm option gives you a slightly finer stitch for smaller projects and tighter stitch spacing, while the 1 mm thread creates a bolder stitch when you want the thread to become a stronger part of the finished design.
With a wide range of colors available, Rhino makes it easy to match the leather for a quieter look or go the other direction and use contrasting thread to make the stitching pop. Sometimes the stitching is just there to hold the project together—and sometimes it's part of the design.
Spool length varies by thread size, with approximately 250–260 meters of thread per spool.
