Feels great.
"Still trying to come up with a pattern for what I want. I am not very skilled with leather working or making and sewing patterns so it may be awhile. I have a vinyl recliner that exacerbates my eczema, so I threw a few skins under me and happy eczema! It also dissipates body heat nicely, so I added a few skins to my bed, slept so soundly, bought more skins. These are clearance skins from aged sheep, of course some have blemishes and holes, but there is a lot of usable leather. Very happy with my purchase."

This stuff is pretty ugly!
"I like it. It's not pretty but that's kind of the point. I make a lot of things out of reclaimed leather that I collect from discarded furniture and jackets. With a little work these skins are very usable and should yield a couple of wallets each. I was honestly surprised by the size of the medium skins. Looking forward to getting started with it this weekend."

Worst quality leather I’ve ever seen
"The pictures of the finished leather goods (from this product page) made with this leather do not reflect the extremely low quality of what I received. I don’t care if I had paid one dollar per hide; the hides I receive are unusable and don’t look anything like the photos provided here. They are covered with holes and scratches and wrinkles. Neither side is usable. These are 100% throw-aways. I’ve never felt that I should throw away a piece of leather before now."

Budget leather
"It’s not fair to give this a bad rating since you get what you pay for and I paid very little. I’d describe it as soft, somewhat stretchy, but very easily torn. It will not be long-lasting but I needed something cheap. Some of the hides came with a nice soft suede side but most of them were quite rough almost like they were poorly scraped. The exteriors have lots of texture and some missing grain layer. You can see in one photo where I have torn off this loose rough flesh-like layer to get to a softer layer on the backside. I apologize for my vernacular; I’m no leather worker."

Wish these came in a better grade
"Ordered six skins and glad I did. One hide is more hole than skin, the others have varying amounts of holes and places where the grain was scraped off. There's "rustic" and then there's "only usable for at most wallet-sized projects due to large holes". I may be able to piece together a journal cover I was hoping to make if I do it all Frankenstein's Sheepskin but instead I think I'll look elsewhere for somewhere selling rustic hides rather than rustic holes."

A Great leather for garments
"I am a first time customer to SLC. Ordered two of these skins, due to rated size and cost. Order turned out fine. This would be a great leather for garments of any kind. Very pliable and soft to the touch. If you are going for a retro 60's look or feel, this is the stuff to use. I also feel they will be great to use for a clutch / draw string purse type of project. One skin has two small holes, but not so bad I can't work around it, and may just add to the appeal of the retro look I was hoping for."

Great for rustic style bags and pouches.
"I ordered a couple out of curiosity, and I am glad I did. These are great for pouches and small bags with a rustic look looking forward to using more of them in the future"
