S.B. Foot Firestorm Black is a full-grain chrome-tanned cowhide with a #101 pebble emboss that gives the surface a clean, consistent texture you can both see and feel. The semi-aniline finish has a subtle sheen without feeling heavily waxed or oily, making this a great option when you want texture without the distressed character of a traditional pull-up leather.

At 5–6 oz. with a medium temper, Firestorm has a useful balance of body and flexibility. It works well for bags, backpacks, cases, footwear, chaps, saddle bags, panels, accessories, and other projects where you want a heavier leather that will still bend, fold, and sew comfortably.

The embossed pebble grain helps create a more uniform finished appearance across the side, while the water-resistant finish makes Firestorm especially practical for leather goods that are going to see regular use. The flesh side is also notably clean, with very little loose fiber or fuzz, giving projects a more finished appearance even when the back of the leather remains exposed.

S.B. Foot has been tanning leather in Red Wing, Minnesota since 1872 and is well known for producing durable leathers for footwear and leather goods. Firestorm brings that same working-leather heritage into a versatile black leather with a clean grain, straightforward finish, and plenty of project possibilities.
