S.B. Foot Harness is a heavyweight, full-grain leather with a rich combination of oils and waxes worked into the hide. It is an unpigmented pull-up leather, so the natural grain, markings, and character of the hide remain visible rather than being covered by a heavy surface finish.

The oil and wax treatment gives the leather plenty of movement and depth. Bend, fold, or stretch it and lighter tones begin to show through as the oils and waxes shift within the leather. At 4–6 oz. with a medium temper, it has good body without feeling overly rigid, making it comfortable to cut, fold, sew, and shape.

This is a strong choice for backpacks, satchels, duffels, messenger bags, briefcases, portfolios, notebook covers, straps, footwear, and other hard-working leather goods where natural character and pull-up are part of the design. Scratches and handling marks will blend into the surface over time, helping the leather develop an increasingly broken-in appearance.

Made in the USA by S.B. Foot in Red Wing, Minnesota, this leather comes from a tannery with roots dating back to 1872 and a long history of producing leather for Red Wing footwear. Harness carries that same workwear heritage with a substantial feel, natural surface, and oil-and-wax finish built to develop character through use.
